I would buy another if I had more money. I think they should have used more than 4 vehicles to test the cladding. I swear if you look at it the wrong way it cracks or falls off at this age. Also maybe I missed it but if the front prop shaft is missing get ready to drop some bucks on that. They aren't real easy to locate and a used one will likely need to be serviced before installation. Good place for parts and performance is Sportmachines. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. They eventually sold the idea to GMC but discovered the 3.8L would require extensive vehicle modifications to fit and would kill the business case. Car and Driver March 1992 has a nice review of the product. Every time we think about selling it to get something new, we take a final drive in it and change our minds. Both of their knees started knocking and flew over to my house to see if anything cool was sitting in the driveway. They pulled in, poured out of the car and started jumping up and down all around the Ty. I watched out the window and knew exactly how they felt. We had a relatively unknown hotrod that was very cool and very black - their fave color and they got to take it to highschool on dry sunny days and 3.5 years to college. The dissimilar metals in the cooling system act like a battery and the coolant essentially becomes the electrolyte. With the engine off and one lead from a meter grounded, sticking the other in the coolant can show voltage. It is worse for cars with aluminum heaters/radiators as they get eaten first. Keeping the cooling system flushed and clean and ensuring all the grounds on the car are good gets rid of it most of the time. I had two of these, one black on black and the other red with gray cladding. They are awesome if you leave them stock. Once modded, the reliability factor go down fast. The 700R4 transmission just can't handle the power. Popular upgrade is the 4l80E. The heater core got crack because of the massive torque. It doesn't matter if you drive like a grandma or a jackass the gas mileage will be the same, low teen. This vehicle introduced me to the wonderful world of torque.
