As a TF-1500 owner, a few comments I'd offer:\r\n\r\n- Very correct appearing car - nice restoration\r\n- Nice to see color correct fender welting \r\n- Great to see an original steering wheel and shift knob!\r\n- Lucas aux lights are a nice period correct touch\r\n- Nicely done interior, but too bad it wasn\u2019t done in the original red\r\n\r\nNot intending to be critical, but these are the things I see that could be addressed to make it more \"correct\" if someone wanted:\r\n\r\n- Although some will debate, in '55, MG Red was a darker shade than what this car is painted with. I'm almost certain that this is a brighter red than original, at least as compared to my MG Red TF with its original paint.\r\n- Top rails should be beige/tan, not black\r\n- Missing the toneau bars on the backs of the seats\r\n- Goofy looking rectangular left-side mirror \u2013 ugh.\r\n- Don\u2019t think the fuel filler cap is correct\r\n- Inside mirror isn\u2019t correct - should be a day/night and a thin mounting post\r\n- Missing the under-dash cover panel\r\n- Underside of fenders should be body color, not undercoated (so they dent easier from rocks thrown-up of course!)\r\n- Rear brake line routing is wrong and should be addressed immediately \u2013 see picture 166 and 167. Line needs to run along axle \u2013 inside of the limiter straps. And hopefully that\u2019s not a compression fitting in the line\u2026\r\n- Of course, a bit of a shame that an original wire-wheel car (they were optional) was converted to discs. They might be done a little neater but if you take your car to an MG Meet and have the Safety Fast inspection done with brake lines inside the check straps you will fail the inspection. Consider what the check straps do. The axle check straps limit the drop of the axle on severe bumps. If the brake line is inside the check strap the axle could crush the line on a severe suspension deflection. \r\nThis looks like quite a nice little car.
