They are every bit as beautiful in person as in the photos, and its a true \"drive with your fingertips\" car. Very light and well balanced. Some of my favorite memories of any car is blasting around Waterford Hills during a track day. Over the hump of a sweeping right hand corner that shoots down a hill through some esses and the car would kick its tail out slightly, plant itself and dive through effortlessly. Also a great road trip car. My only wish on mine for this type of use was an overdrive. The engine is a very old design and running all day at 4K gave some concern. \r\n\r\nThis is a very nice looking example that isn't so nice you would feel guilty about putting lots of miles on it - which is what most would wind up doing. \r\n\r\n@59Turner - those are the straps holding the fuel tank in. They look like they might be new but they are of the original design. @Frank_Barrett I ran mine without the bumpers and it does improve the appearance quite a bit. These are lovely, hand made cars formed in aluminum, and as such, are unique in today\u2019s world and more affordable than an Aston Martin of the same era. As an AC owner myself (AC Mk. IV Cobra), I would recommend that the new owner of this car join the AC Owner\u2019s Club in England. A great community of fellow AC owners and lots of support, technically and from a parts perspective as well. My Cobra is a keeper but if I were to own another AC, it would be an Aceca or Ace. A fellow AC owner has an car almost identical to this one that he brings to local British car shows I attend. He is the original owner of that car and worked at the AC Thames Ditton works and his car, as this one is, is stunningly beautiful in person.
