I have some very good news regarding this 1947 Ford pickup! In the ad write up, the engine is said to be running only on the center carburetor. \r\n Yesterday, I was able to get the engine running well on all three Stromberg carburetors after doing some valuable research online regarding this specific 3x2 carburetor setup. I will see if BaT can post this new video as well. \r\n\r\nI also wanted to mention that this truck was reportedly in Colorado most if not all of its life and was nearly rust free prior to its restoration other than one spot on the passenger side running board according to the prior owner/builder. He had attempted to purchase the truck for many years due to its clean condition before he was able to make the purchase. He is a retired autobody master craftsman/restorer and it really shows on this truck. The quality of the restoration is impeccable in every regard other than perhaps needing a higher quality wood bed floor. He chose to do some nice drivability upgrades,, including the one piece windshield, 12 volt electrical system, larger 53' Merc flathead V8 with performance build and upgrades, power brakes, C-4 automatic and authentic cowhide two-tone leather interior, all without losing the vintage character of this 1947 Ford. I am confident the winning bidder will be getting a real gem with this pickup! Also, you\u2019ll see in one of the last photos in the gallery that some pretty good sized swatches of both color (brown & tan) cowhides come with the truck. These could be used to make matching sun visors, kick panels or perhaps a header piece above the windshield or overhead console of some kind. All 3-2's are designed to run off the center carb., your linkage can be set, to your desired point to engage the 2 end carb.'s, based on how far you want to \"put your foot in it\", to make that happen. 3-2's have been out there for years, & yes they need to be synchronized, but like a lot of GM set-ups, the end carb.'s have no adjustment, when you engage all 3 it pours the fuel in. There is a lot more to making 3-2's function correctly, that's why a lot of guys pulled off the 3-2's & replaced with a 4brl. 3-2's were designed to give you the best of both worlds, fortunately I had a friend that was a \"true\" carb, specialist that made all my different carb. system perform properly, whether on the street or at the dragstrip. The built engine seems to be able to handle that. Of course there is a lot of fine tuning that could be done with the air/fuel mixture, idle speed, main jets etc. to make the progression from one carburetor work as designed too.
