You would think that with that many produced there would be a few more around, but I don't see many. We took the cover off in the yard and he said it looked like the previous owner had just had it rebuilt and then his car got totalled. All I had to do was have 4 larger U-bolts made and have the drive shaft shortened. Minimal cost and labor to have a ride that you don't have to worry about babying it. It was also the last year of the trunnion coupling at the tailshaft. 1965 introduced the output slip yoke. The shifters, either column or floor mounted, replaced the pushbuttons but retained the cables. 1966 saw the elimination of the cables in favor of lever and rod linkage. The result is the 1965 904 and 727 offer the ability to upgrade 1964 and earlier cars with the slip yoke drivetrain while retaining the pushbuttons.\r\n\r\nWhat I see here is a cable shifted 904 with factory floor shift. The transmission is likely a 1964 A-body given it was first year for the V8 and shows a trunnion output.
