I have never seen an MH900E that rivals the one you now own!\r\n\r\nThe original idea the client wanted was to honor Mike Hailwood , apparently the Hailwood kilt pattern Set is Blue, so that's where the blue idea came from, at the time he was shopping for a Ferrari & saw a powder blue car with bright white interior & fell in love. So that is what we based the design off of..\r\n\r\nJust a run down of what we did.\r\n\r\n-Custom Blue Metallic color\r\n-White emblems\r\n-Danny Grey Custom White seat\r\n-1 off hand built custom stainless exhaust, we eliminated the cross over of pipes when viewed from rear as its visually unappealing\r\n-We built custom cans & formed the aluminum drilled heat shields. Designed by Finishing Touch & All metal work performed by Bruce Terry.\r\n-We then designed & had machined exhaust tips, a tail light bezel that holds a Cadillac lens & a whisky flask holder for the custom engraved flask. \r\n-The exhaust was then ceramic coated white .\r\n-The bike was stripped & frame & swingarm were Powder coated chrome & clear coated, along with the rear stand\r\n-The ignition & oil cooler were relocated to clean up the aesthetics further.\r\nThe Ohlin's forks were created as were not available, they are basically faux Ohlins, as the client wanted the look, so we stripped the OEM forms & sent them away to be anodized & the sliders got the same electroplate process in gold as Ohlins uses.\r\n-The Rear shock is an Ohlins.\r\n-Every aluminum piece from the motor as well as the wheels were removed & polished, the lower engine cover was powder coated chrome.\r\n-The timing belts covers were replaced as well as the clutch cover with the DP billet ones. \r\n-Donned Racing slicks for show, as the client never planned to ride the bike, though its rideable. It was more an Art Piece.\r\n\r\nI'm sure I missed some things, the project really evolved over time, the order in which everything came about is off also.. Really started as a color change, we did the paint work, frame coating & seat first, then that turned into a custom exhaust, then the ignition relocation turned into the whisky flask idea, then the motor polishing & coating, then wheels polished & so on.\r\n\r\nWe had the bike featured in Moto Euro Magazine Summer 2005 issue I think & it was on display in their booth at Laguna Moto GP, but good luck finding an issue as Moto Euro went under shortly after..
