It was the best bike I ever owned in many ways; in 7 years and a lot of miles it was trouble-free, no crashes, no tickets, fantastic engine and brakes, and predictable handling. The magazines were critical of the 955i at the time for being 'down on power' as they required around 10 seconds to go from zero to 100mph but it was quick enough for me. The only downsides were short rear tire life, but maybe I had something to do with that, and they have very tall stock gearing, requiring a trip out to eastern Oregon to explore it's high speed capabilities over some distance.
