If the backside of the material is suede-like, it's leather. It looks as if it originally resided on the driver's side of the engine, above the generator (at least, I think). \r\nThe controls under the dash are both variable speed fan switches that control the left and right outlets on the parcel shelf. Both of them work on all speed settings and push air a good amount out of the outlets, considering the ducting in the trunk isn's actually connected at the at either unit, but has slid off and is hovering just below.\r\n\r\n@Dollycat3 - Good catch on that- I hadn't noticed. I don't have any idea why that would be, other than a clerical error. New mounting brackets were acquired (I believe the compressor and brackets were from Classic Auto Air). \r\n\r\nIt was still R12 refrigerant back then. I recall replacing some lines and having the system evacuated and recharged.
