Even if I could get the engine running quickly and make it a driving project, instead of a garage project, with over 200Kmi on the odometer--and it looks like the original engine based on the patina--stopping the oil leaks will mean pulling the engine and partly disassembling it, rebuilding the heads, and then \"while I'm in there\" splitting the case, which will be a minimum $20K job, IF I don't find bigger problems... \r\n\r\nThe interior needs refreshing, the paint is, well, what it is. I can be sure the AC ain't working, the targa top surely leaks and needs new top and seals, etc. \r\n\r\nOther than the deep scrapes/bends at the undersides of the rear corners, the body looks pretty sound. The area of rust below the battery concerns me much more. Although the pictures from underneath do not show rust-through, I have to think that the inside of the front panel has some deep rust. Once battery acid gets down there, it doesn't stop. Maybe I would get lucky, but that's not my usual lot in life. \r\n\r\nYes, I'm trying to talk myself out of it.
