Besides having GT in the VIN, the other \u2018tell\u2019 that it\u2019s a real USA-market GTS is the Body Serial Number. All US GTS cars started with a \u20183\u2019, Euro L-models with a \u20184\u2019 and USA l-models with a \u20185\u2019. USA GTS BSNs run from 30001 to 30150, indicating 150 were made (not 98 as is often mistakenly asserted). \r\n\r\nThe US GTS was marketed as a Ghia product and wore zero De Tomaso badging of any kind. The shift knob and wheel center emblems said \u2018GTS\u2019, and the steering wheel center and front bumper emblems were Ghia badges. Even the tachometer and speedometer were unique to these cars.
