This is my second Norton where my first was traditional black/gold, which is hard to beat, but it's just paint and I wanted to have this one stand out. I also tried to keep the colors something that might have been available in this period besides Avocado Green or Harvest Gold, although that would stand out too. The cream color on this is in fact Wimbledon White and you can't get more British than Norton or Wimbledon. \r\nThanks too @rustyjoe for pointing out that the barrels on early 850s were silver. Sometimes folks are unaware. I have the '73 Norton brochure that will accompany the bike with a faint but legible Gus Khun stamp, that shows the early 850s with silver barrels. I'm unclear if Gus Khun supplied the Canadian dealers in the 70's? @BostonkevinO The serial # on this one definitely is an early 850, at least based on my research if the 850s did start with the 300000 range. @Paul_Blouin I'm pretty sure that the tail light housing was polished to shine but don't know if this is from stock black or was originally fiberglass/plastic and swapped out?
