That is one of many things that make these final series Azures better than the first series cars, and worth the premium. \r\n\r\nFor those who don't know, \"green shower\" refers to oil spray from breakage of the hydraulic lines that run under the trim above the windshield to power the header latches. That was a feature of the original Azure, and the Jaguar XK8 and other cars of that era.\r\n\r\nThe later Azure cars like this one use a more modern system with an electric motor driving the header latches through cables. There is no hydraulic oil to go showering. I am uploading a photo of the latch system from the Bentley parts book so you can see. \r\n\r\nLast year we repaired the motor and electrics under where the folded top is stored. We've fixed a few of these where rainwater gets into that area and corrodes the brushes and connections in the motor, and we made replacements for those parts as Bentley discontinued them. Overall this top is a much better system than what was used in the first Azure. These leaks may both come from the turbocharger connections; we have repaired those on other cars of this era. Further disassembly will be needed to quantify exactly what we need there. This is likely to be several days of work; this is a very tight area. Parts should be available. Ulrich was ok to leave this alone given the minor nature of the leaks and cost to get at them.\r\n\r\nAs the note says, this is a leak we find on every one of these cars and the Mulsannes at some point. It's not at the point where you would notice it, and it's not yet an essential repair, but it will have to be dealt with one day. The leak does not cause odor, and is not likely to worsen. I always hesitate to urge people to fix minor leaks on these cars because they are so common, and I try to distinguish what I see as annoyances (like this) and life-threatening leaks, (like on the oil filter housing), where a blowout will cause total loss of oil and sudden engine failure. This car has already had the annual service done for this season, so the bigger service could be a winter storage project. \r\n\r\nThe things that matter, in my opinion, are:\r\n- Fresh spark plugs so the coil packs don't get ruined\r\n- Fresh filters (air,cabin, fuel)\r\n- Fresh fluid in the transmission and final drive \r\n- New belts\r\n- Software updates\r\n- Lubricate all hinges, pivots, etc\r\n- Run injector cleaner through systems\r\n- Flush brake fluid (every second year)\r\nThere are other items on the service checklist but those are the important ones The above work represents 3-4 days of labor, and then you have parts. Being in the country, we are near $200/hr on these cars where you find labor rates closer to $4-500 in cities like New York or Washington, so costs vary quite a lot. Also, some people cut corners and do less, while others do more.\r\n\r\nI have an article on ten-year services on these cars in the newest edition of the Flying Lady, the official club magazine for Bentley owners in the USA.
