As lifelong German car enthusiast my admiration of the Lexus LS model which was introduced in by Toyota/Lexus in 1989 with the LS400 is strong. In fact I personally owned a 2002 LS430 myself for over 3 years, and put approximately 80k miles on that car with multiple long distance trips to Florida. I regret to this day ever selling that car. This flagship model is very luxurious, has exceptional build quality, V8 power, safety, and reliability that was the benchmark for all luxury cars built during this era. When the owner of this car asked if I would assist with the sale of this car, I enthusiastically accepted the assignment. This very car is an extremely clean corrosion free California example, and he has made both significant mechanical and cosmetic improvements to the car since it was purchased here on BringaTrailer in 2023. \r\n\r\nOf note in March of 2024:\r\n\r\nNew Timing Belt, Idler Arm, pulleys, and tensioner.\r\nNew water pump.\r\nReplaced the rear door weather striping.\r\nSynthetic oil change at 38,727 miles.\r\nBoth the hood and trunk struts have also been updated.\r\n\r\nIn addition of note there were 2 blemishes on the front bumper in the original listing in 2023 and shown in photo #22 that have been addressed about a week ago, and now the front bumper cover has been improved significantly from a cosmetic standpoint. \r\n\r\nThis is a 100% turnkey ready example of a well maintained low mileage car that also has very strong cosmetics inside, out and even underneath. My 2002 Lexus LS430 was also from a dry climate when I purchased it and even after 3 NJ winters the chrome plating on those wheels still had a great finish even with salt exposure. The retracting feature operates 100%, and the passenger side mirror functions 100%. The driver side mirror operates 100% in the horizontal plane, but yesterday I had an issue with the vertical plane. Weird? I had it working 100% when I got the car in a few weeks ago, so I am not sure of why it its not working now. I removed the switch and checked the contacts, but they seem fine.
