Yes we'd all like a bolt action but we all know it wasn't available with the 350, only the 305. Truth is back in the day the most desired combo was the 350/Automatic. It was the fastest set up and that's what Camaros are all about. Not everyone could afford the 5.7 and went with the 305, no manual trans whining/wishing allowed. Second yes, we wish it didn't have the open top but in the spirit of the day and the car, back when Burt was jumpin' ditches in his black Trans Am and Billy Ray Cyrus was sporting more hair in the back than the front, T-Tops were the hot smoking setup in the Camaro/Firebird/280ZX crowd. This one has it, get over it. In fact the only thing this car needs now is a set of rear window louvers. Where's my J.C. Whitney catalog? Scratches were common, dents too. As for the price of this car eliciting so much surprise that frankly shocks me, these cars have come into their own and did so years ago. 80's muscle cars are continuing to rise in value along with Lincoln town cars and Cadillacs of all stripes in good low mileage condition. Will the coming possible recession affect values? possibly but I certainly don't see it here.
