This was originally sourced by the Danish Military as a radio comm truck and was outfitted by Marconi out of Italy with their radio equipment. This would have towed a diesel generator trailer to power everything. The rear screen on the back door is original military equipment from new. As are the side vents that would have allowed the original radio equipment to vent out of the rear cabin. I do have a locking factory storage locker as well for the inside over the rear wheel well I will be adding some pics of soon. We didn't get it repainted before photo shoot! This is really a great running example that has had a ton of work done on it by a very knowledgeable MB tech who owned and used this vehicle for the last several years and went out of his way to chart and document all parts replaced and work performed. Always starts up like a champ and is not a leaker. Transmission shifts like butter and feels great through all gears no slip or syncro grind ever. No blow by or real soot of any kind unless maybe under heavy acceleration as expected. This beauty wont get you anywhere fast, but it darn sure will get you there without letting you down. We took the time to go through this and install new window regulators, fan blower switch, wiper control switch, made sure all lighting inside and outside is functioning correctly and installed the fresh Bilsteins and new tires. The rest of the suspension is tight and true with no clunks or thumps and it tracks straight as an arrow down the highway at 55mph. Vehicle is extremely solid with no rust issues, solid shock mount locations, and no sheet metal repair work done to our knowledge. Very honest underneath with no attempts to undercoat anything. All coatings on the floors were as-delivered to the Danish Military around 1990. Hope to see some more active bidding, its been rather quiet in here.
