After I purchased the 6, I heard that they were going to drop it for US. So, I decided to prepare it for garage storage and get the 4 to drive around. I found a fire risk with the 4. The fuel feeder hoses were attached to the injectors with crimped fittings. I found out like so many others this crimped fitting had a defect. Out of the blue they would start leaking badly. The solution was to cut the crimped fitting off the injector and just use a good fuel line attached it to the injector by the old timer hose clamp. Never had a leak after that. The structural members beneath it - not so easy. \n\nOne death process of a 914 is 1) corroded battery tray, followed by corroded area aroudn the rear suspension mount and eventually the longitudinal structure under it.
