They differ considerably and I will note some of the major differences below.\r\n\r\nTo start, the GS460 was produced between the 2008-2011 MY\u2019s and had the 1UR-FSE engine. I think for starters, it\u2019s important to note that the 1UR-FSE had a timing chain as compared to the 3UZ found in the LS430 (which had a timing belt). Of course, the convenience of the timing chain being \u201cexempt\u201d from the routine maintenance demanded by a timing belt is quite nice!\r\n\r\nOtherwise, it is important to note that, at 6400 HP and torque RPMS, the 1UR-FSE sees a considerable edge over the 3UZ at around 385hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Overall it feels slot more peppy and begs to rev. While the 3UZ is no slouch, it feels more tame given it\u2019s in more of a luxurious sedan. Any vibrating noises?\r\n\r\nThe leather is one of the nicest I have seen on these. Especially being the nice black leather which is the best of the 3 colors offered. It\u2019s usually dry and cracked pretty badly. Great example and the best of the IS/LS right in the middle. The is one of the smoothest driving cars ever sold. The quality of the interior options, lighting, and insulation is Lexus at its peak.
