Throughout the twelve years I have owned the car, I have driven it almost every Sunday. I typically, on these Sunday drives, go from five to twelve miles, all of which are on county (paved) roads and state two-lane highways. I typically drive the speed limits on those two roads, which are 55 and 60, respectively. Those are good, appropriate cruising speeds for this car, and feel comfortable. The car has been used as the \u201cgetaway car\u201d for all four of my children\u2019s weddings, as well as the weddings of a couple of family friends. Three of my children\u2019s weddings were at event centers which entailed 60 to 90-mile round trips. In those cases, I drove the PV444 on the interstate, and cruised at 70 MPH. It did well, although I have to admit that I\u2019m not accustomed to driving on an interstate without a seatbelt. The fastest I have driven the car is about 75 MPH on those wedding-related interstate trips. Once you get in the 70-75 MPH range, given the low gear ratio, the RPMs are fairly high, and I don\u2019t know that I would want to consistently drive the car for extended stretches at those speeds on a regular basis.
