He then was based on Tinian Island hardstand Delta in the South Pacific where he did accept the overwhelming task to train and fly with needed \u201cTop Secret\u201d delivery routes for the\u00a0Enola Gay\u00a0and other (circle Arrowhead tail insignia) Squadron aircraft, into Japan. This effort was to secure proposed history making bombing routes that would become the war ending missions they set out as intended and would save an expat image 6 million lives by cutting the war short.(Some specific secrete military details will be available to the new owner). This hero passed away in 2019 in my loving arms. At the time of his passing, he was one of only two living witnesses remaining from over 2,000 original members of the 6th Bomb Group.\r\n\r\nThis man started out as a 14-year-old boy way back in 1935 by retrofitting pneumatic brakes onto his $5 model T-Ford.\u00a0 At 18, after graduating from an Aeronautical trade school in half the allotted time flat, he was fortuned to land at the Boeing Plant in Seattle in 1940.\u00a0 He later redesigned the fuel system of the B-29 that his calculations would support an additional 30 minutes of previous inconceivable flight time extensions by safely returning B-29\u2019s. This good judgement saved several returning aircraft and men from ditching the aircraft into the ocean only a few short miles from the safety of the Titian Island USA home base. This effort (correctly determined) did cost him a stripe for going against direct orders as to drop it from \u201cnot to pressurize by cross-feeding fuel tanks\u201d to expand fuel volumes within fuel tanks with previously not supported configurations, before his stripe was reinstated and another one added. \r\n\r\nAt 19, this car collector became the youngest Boeing manufacturing manager in the entire company, when he suggested then struggled [anti-woman factory backlash at the time] to become the first visionary to include women within the war effort. His need was simply because, \u201cwomen could fit into small spaces and\u00a0they showed\u00a0up for work to work and didn\u2019t show up drunk like the guys usually did\u201d. \r\n\u00a0\r\nThis veteran\u2019s estate battle has been disappointingly court ordered to disband his cherished collection.\u00a0 This 1979 GMC pick-up truck was finally able to see the sunshine and feel the wind while she was being transported by flatbed on 06/02/2021 to the security of a private garage. Delivered to get her ready for the next phase of her life, while she patiently waits for [you] her next lucky owner to take her home.\r\n\u00a0\r\nThe only thing not original on this truck is the battery, the new fuel/oil, and the right headlight I [personally] placed within the truck. The custom protective truck cover is also included with GMC auction items along with the non-functional original headlamp is being saved for you.\r\n\u00a0\r\nI have refused to wash, clean or detail the inside of the engine compartment. I thought it was best and more important to provide as much insight or visual information to her history as possible.
