I have a '67 Newport sedan and would love to add this to the fleet. And woodgrain on the side of a convertible? Awesome. Had to be the result of a lot of 3-martini lunches by a design department that probably drove real woody hot rods in their youth. Design was such a big deal at the time. Even within the slab-side design, every brand (Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge) had unique styling and options, each model was then further unique, and each year there were new grille/taillight configurations for all of them. These cars are fun, dependable, classy, affordable, relatively uncommon to see at car shows, and are going to get you a lot more looks than much more expensive cars. And don't worry about gas $. Buy one less latte a day and you've got the cost covered.
