He said it had 43,000 miles on it but the odometer was reset to zero after the original 425/385 hp engine and 425 Turbo-Hydromatic transmission were rebuilt, so it has only been driven about 1,000 miles since 2005. It has always been garage kept and smoke free. The tires have about 400 miles on them, and 0 miles on the spare, with correct jack. He said the body was rust free at the time of the repaint, and still is. It has power seats, a power trunk, a tilt/telescopic steering column a new AM/FM radio and speakers and a quartz clock conversion. The LED daytime driving lights can easily be removed. The occasional rear bump noise sounds like a loose shock bushing. The emergency brake is sticky.\n\n@eagan and @yukonjacked you are correct - the front brakes were converted to discs, which is a common and desirable upgrade. I almost had an accident the first day I drove my first 66 Toronado years ago due to drum brake fade.\n\n@Bumfluff - I have not noticed that problem with my speedometer, as can be seen in my drive videos where it shows 60 mph at approx. 40 seconds and 1:10 minutes in the first one, and almost 60 mph at 24 seconds in the second one.\n\n@jacksbat - we find the color combo not only attractive but mysterious, as the paint color seems to change depending on the amount of sun, shade and reflections. However you are correct, the paint doesn't always match, and it has some imperfections as already noted. While the door jamb in photo 76 is probably exaggerated by the sun/camera, the most noticeable discrepancy is the narrow panel under the wipers. \n\nThank you all for your positive comments.
