It\u2019s a special one, right at the start of production when going from the hand laid fiberglass of the \u201csquare tail\u201d cars to the chopper gun sprayed bodies of the Manx 1. This has a hand laid hood, and chopper gun body. The support tubes were at an experimental stage here too, Bruce knew the body needed more support and grabbed some pool hose material from a neighbors shop and sprayed over them (the coiled wire still visible if you look in the tube). The first ones done this way had the front end of the tube left open, but later bodies that was closed up to avoid water and mud from getting in there. Also the tube size was reduced in the full production run bodies.
