Normally, the 1.5 series had rocker switches, which was in the series 2, as well as, the taillights under the bumperettes. However, the series 1 had toggle switches and the tail lights above the bumper, just like this example shows. So after doing some research, we actually found what many considered to be a 1.25, which was produced in the early years of what many consider the \u201c1.5\u201d run that included the toggle switches and the tail lights above the rear bumper like the series 1, and had the open head lights like the series 2. The chrome surrounds become much thicker on the 2/3 cars. IIRC, the first open headlights cars were built in Jan \u201967.\r\n\r\n[To pick nits, \u201cS1.25\u201d and \u201cS1.5\u201d were merely colloquialisms to differentiate between these configurations, as noted by the seller. My S1.5 Coupe is a US spec car, built before both of the others mentioned (early February 1968), that has open lights, rocker switches and dual carbs. While I like the looks of the covered headlights of earlier cars, I gather that the open lighting is functionally better. XKE was the term used in the USA for Jaguar E-Types, while in Europe they were E-Types. You are forgetting that E-Types were configured differently based on which country the car was destined. And that is partially why this mid-67 French spec car is different than my own US spec early-68 which is different from the May-68 Canadian car I mentioned previously. Canadian cars were more like European cars of the same date, while the USA that instigated these changes were different for the same date.\n\nJCNA is a North American organization that is very into judging of owners' cars, so naturally they want to place cars into micro categories. My club belongs even though we are Canadian. Automatics something else. All else fails jack it up and rotate a rear wheel one turn and count drive shaft rotation. Not sure how the Limited Slip might affect this, presumaagly both rear wheels will turn (lift both). BTW I have a 1.25, 67 OTS. Not to mention, the clutch seems to be fairly healthy, considering that the gears are going in smooth, they show no signs of grinding, they do not slip, and the clutch pedal is not sticking. The air filter looks to be fitted correctly, however, it appears that there should be a rubber on the bottom of the filter where it sits on the subframe of the car. Clearly, the air filter has play and with the vibrations of the engine at lower rpm, it moves and makes the crackling noise by knocking and bumping into the subframe of the car. If that is not enough, pictures 173-190 show the entire under body of the vehicle, which clearly shows the floors, as well. Earlier in the auction several people asked for pictures of under the floor mats, which I provided, but before doing so, I had asked if they wanted me to remove the fiberglass, which is glued, and several of them said to not remove anything and just take the picture, as-is. With all that being said, the floors are fairly solid and despite needing some work, I really do not think they are bad, at all. Perhaps, there are several other things I would do before the floors, but that is just my opinion.\n\n@Salbert It could definitely use its fair-share of aligning. \n\n@Brucerudin Recently, I deactivated the website to work on several issues, this being one of them.
