Matter of fact one night in Oct 73, just before Dad traded it in I had it one night on a date, while home on leave from The Army. But she had just broken my young heart and I was pissed off. So when I hit a stretch of Rt 295, in of all places Lincoln, R.I., I hit the gas to the floor and didn\u2019t let up till there were flashing lights in my mirror, I looked down and to my horror had the speedometer buried!! Yes a Rhode Island State Trooper had clocked me on radar and following me at 129 mph!!! He was astonished at how fast that Lincoln was, he barely caught up to me he said! But very lucky for me was he had just recently graduated from the State Police Academy after an Honorable Discharge from The Army! After I showed him my leave papers and told him I was going back in 9 days, he let me go with a warning!!!! I could not believe it!
