This is the EXACT same model my dad bought from Ken Vance Motors in Eau Claire, WI in 1984 to replace a dying 70s Oldsmobile wagon. In any case, our family transversed North America in \u201cthe wagon\u201d (as we called it) and although no performer, she was pretty gall darn reliable and stayed true to her mission. In any case - never thought I\u2019d see another Parisienne anywhere else than an junkyard, but gotta hand it to you - nice example. And oh by the way - never leave the rear window down in a rainstorm. That footwell for the third row can collect water quicker than a leaky roof. Both were \u201887-\u201888 vintage I believe. \nI was told the diesel sedan would get over 40MPG on a highway run and I politely said \u201cwow\u201d but just laughed to myself.....\u201dright\u201d. \n\nOn an overnight round trip of over 500 miles, I returned the car to the construction yard, filled up the tank and calculated right at 50MPG! \n500+ miles on something like 5/8 of a tank!\nGutless? Oh you bet. But 40+MPG regularly?
