Don't let those little 14\" wheels scare you off, I put wider 15\" tires on mine, had stiffer springs wound for it and autocrossed it in the Twin Cities for 15 years. In fact, 95% of my time in the car was spent \"killing cones\". Don't let the h.p. discourage you, that six is wonderfully smooth, think of it as a miniature Jaguar engine. Lots of long dirt driveway on the island here so its good for me.\r\n\r\n2. Tall drivers: footwells are very long, once in very comfy but a bit tight to get legs aboard.very good head room, good vis + lots of light.\r\n3. Long Road Trips: Sure why not ? 70mph on GPS at 3000rpm. lotsa leg room + little storage spots. reasonably quiet w not much wind noise.\r\n4.Bumpers: attachment points could used a bit of adjustment, simple to do. stainless/chrome do look cool and available.\r\n5.Badges Really ? TVR was building 2 or 3 cars a week. So how long the chaps spent in the pub for lunch may be a factor.\r\n6. Rear Suspension: Enfield750 is correct, TVR built A arms w Triumph diff and halfshafts\r\n7. Good him it sounded great and he told me his was on the way to a friend's on the mainland to have the exhaust installed and was running with no muffler just a piece of flex pipe attached to the header! While he owned the TV R he had the engine rebuilt and balanced, added the cam, Webers, header, and fuel cell. One of my very first cars was a 2500M, metallic blue. Drove it from New York to Miami to go to college at UofM. Car drove flawlessly. Was my daily driver in Miami. I felt like a King driving such a cool car that no one else had! Amazingly well balanced. I later met and spent time with Peter Wheeler, who had purchased and restored TVR to a new found glory. At the time TVR was producing the wedgy 280i. Then Peter's secretary suggested they make a car like the 2500M, something that was not so wedgy but had \"classic curves\" like these older TVR. I was at the factory in Blackpool when this occurred. At the time I was young and I argued TVR should go forward, not backward, but Peter liked his secretary's idea and so they went forward with creating a retro looking car, the S Series, and then they created the sexy V8 powered Griffith, and the rest is history. So many other manufacturers jumped on the \"retro\" look and thankfully so!
