I made it a daily driver for years, and it was very reliable. I replaced the drive train with a rebuilt 1800 cc MGB (with first gear synchro), replaced the rear end for a bit more speed and less noise and converted it to disk brakes up front. I also made it negative ground (changed out the coil etc.) and replaced the distributor to an electric version, and changed to an alternator. In those days, I had to write to the MG car club in Sheffield, England for parts which usually arrived in about a month. I ended up with quite a nice ride, could cruise for hours at 65 MPH and just loved it.
