My father owns B119LE also bodied by Park Ward but in a semi razor edge pillarless saloon design. Very comfortable at highway speeds and very refined. The seat adjustment is brilliant, pre-set where you want it and to get out trip the catch and slide it back. When you get in slide forward and it drops back into the set position. This is a beautiful car and just the right amount of patina to drive and enjoy without fretting about losing a half point in the concours. Then I had a later Hooper bodied car, and while that car was obviously aluminum over ash, the sunroof panel again was sliding metal. Although perhaps my experience isn't as vast as yours, the only time I've seen cars with vinyl coverings over the sunroof hole was when the metal panel blew out or otherwise became lost. But I still think my advice that a prospective buyer \"try it on\" to make sure it fits is good - these were built for the typical pre-war Englishman, maybe 5'6\" and 110 pounds and virtually everyone I know who's driven one comments on the pain involved, most particularly that imposed by the positioning of the gear shift lever - a problem obviously solved with the first cars built right after WWII. The biggest problem is squeezing my size-11 shoes past the shifter and brake levers partially blocking the driver's side door. I may rework the seat cushion innards to allow a bit more of a \"pocket\" for better support and headroom. My mission now is to put some miles on it, while debugging minor issues, including a big new battery and some crankiness with the generator regulator.
