But I got mine years back very cheap, solid but incomplete, at the time the value was not that high so had mapped out some customization but not irreversible. However with restorations going higher & higher, I am rethinking customizing, and keep it nearly stock with some subtle upgrades that enhance drivability but don't hurt value ( much). Other than a few small parts, I have collected most of what I need, I no longer do commercial work, but I do have my wife's Chevelle to finish first, the TR4 is next. For me I think it depends on the car and how it all comes together. \r\n\r\nI have a Ginetta finished in \"Giallo Imola\" (bright yellow) - a color I thought I would never ever own, and yet the car carries the color perfectly and I love it (yet would never paint another car that color). I've had a black classic mini (1275) with brushed metal finishes and a red-and-black interior (@tomintampa & @LBCfan - I think you guys would have like that one), a white MG (later gunmetal gray), Slate Gray Porsche, and Titanium FJ Cruiser; one thing they all had in common is that they all looked really \"put together\". An attractive young waitress ,who was fairly new there , voiced her concern about driving home and me , being the gentleman bonehead that I was , said , \"sure , no problem ... I can give you a ride ! \"\r\n( Background music now , queue Warren Zevon \" I went home with a waitress , the way I always do\")\r\nAs we headed out into the snowstorm , in the parking lot , she took one look at the TR6 and said ...\"maybe it would be better if you just follow me \" ... yes not only was she attractive , but also highly intelligent !\r\nOf course the young bonehead says , \"don't worry , I'll be right behind you..\"\r\nWell , as we departed , the main road which was plowed was pretty treacherous , but the first left she took onto an unplowed secondary road , even the bonehead knew he had a problem . A foot of snow and a TR6 do not under any circumstances go together.\r\nAs the car bottomed out on the snow and the rear wheels started to spin , her taillights disappeared off into the night , never to be seen again .\r\nThe bonehead had landed ...\r\nAnd faintly in the background .. \" Send lawyers, guns and money .
