Most notable was the redesigned cylinder head and twin-scroll turbo manifold designed to maximize exhaust pulses to feed the new twin-scroll turbo. The result was quicker turbine spool that translates into reduced turbo lag and increased performance. To manage the new turbo system, the old MAF system was discarded and replaced with a MAP sensor which provides smoother and more reliable sensor monitoring feedback for the ECU. The 3S-GTE gen 3 lacks EGR and the secondary cat so passing the FTP drive cycle test will be difficult and CEE will charge for multiple tests + cost to develop a retrofit package. Afterwards, you would need to schedule an appointment with your local emissions technical center, they would then review all of your paperwork including the importation documents (which we provide). You would then be issued further paperwork with instructions on how to complete your registration. Wether or not you would require emissions testing would be determined by the technical center. If you reside in a county that does not require emissions testing, I would assume that your road to registration would wrap up after the technical center appointment. We would certainly do our part in assisting any potential buyer in navigating the registration process in their home state.
