'Probably happened when the car hit a bump. \r\nIf you take the windshield off, and pull out the screws that hold the frame together, you will find that the screws are of differing lengths. The long ones go in the lower holes. If one of the long ones gets into the upper hole, it contacts the glass, cracking it when a bump is encountered. This is a small bit of detail that is easy to fix when the windshield is replaced (at a cost of about $200, or less, in about half an hour). Just check out the screws the they go back into the frame. The windshield won't crack again. \r\n\r\nOtherwise, a vern nice, clean Morgan, beautifully finished. With +4s, it really doesn't matter which year you get as they are all stuck in time. If you want a great one to drive, this would be it, with the 5 speed and the Gemmer steering box. The drive train and under chassis is easy to care for, especially if you have a dry ice blaster. From the look of the paint, you would just wipe this one down once year. I don't see a problem with the condition. The bidders here see a possible bargain, or a beautiful Morgan in better than factory condition that they can enjoy for a very, very long time. If you find that the quality and condition is just too much for you, well... you need to adjust, and understand that it doesn't get better than this for a +4. Go ahead and bid, and if you win. well, you are very lucky. And if you do't, at least you tried. My +8 is pretty nice but not like this. I am going to keep the pictures of this car in my reference file so that I koww just how mine will look when it is done. \r\nYes, it's a driver, with the Gemmer steering box and the T9 5 speed. After a few years the filler shrunk, and the screw heads became visible and not very pretty. Some folks just polish the alloy and leave the screws visible upon restoration. I always paint the strips body color and replace the screws with stainless, Phillips, oval headed screws that have been polished. There is nothing wrong with that, especially if you were not bidding in the first place. \r\n\r\nIt only says what the 3 bidders had available today. \r\n\r\nAny high bidder can contact the seller and negotiate a purchase. But, did you do know that often, those \"negotiated sales\" don't actually go through. There are more uncompleted sales than BaT knows about. Sometimes, the high bidders are not really in the position that they say that they are. \r\n\r\nMy car didn't sell here, so I moved it to a more traditional venue, and it sold, two months later for above my reserve. The gauges are correct but dash center is 1961 or later. Rear rubber brake line is not in correct place and looks very extended.
