That is pretty normal maintenance. \r\n I asked the mechanic at Vintage racing motors about the hole in the bell house and again that is normal access and is used for timing besides inspection. He was not sure about the flange off of the overdrive although with the hole he thought it may be for the lockwire used for the drain plug. Finally, he remembers that the toggle switch and the blue light is for the electric fan that is infront of the radiator.
