There was really no stone left unturned in the restoration of R50/2 and it will make a great, and very usable, addition to someone\u2019s garage.\r\n\r\n@Timar72 everything matches- it\u2019s just the light that might make it look a little off in the photos. The metalwork on the bike and the sidecar were all painted together during the restoration. Check out photo #118, which shows the record of both being painted. It\u2019s a gorgeous color.\r\n\r\n@Dobb I had my Border Collie with me when I took the photos and I sure thought about putting her in there for a picture, but I didn\u2019t want to risk the inevitable paint damage in case she freaked out and leapt for solid ground. I\u2019ve been in a similar situation with over vehicles so I understand what you mean. You\u2019re correct about the mileage and the timeframe. The tires are still in nearly new condition with no signs of degradation on the sidewalls, and the motorcycle was intermittently moved around during storage (always stored indoors in a space with climate control) so it hasn\u2019t been sitting in the exact same place on the tread for too long. But they are not \u201cnew\u201d in terms of time, and the next owner will have to decide what is right for them in that regard. Is it conceivable that some sort of maintenance item could pop up for the next owner? As with any vintage machine, even one that\u2019s been restored to a high level, sure it is. Based on a couple test runs and rides though, to the best of my knowledge this R50 is ready to go as it sits.
