First, a big thank you to @ajimenez25 for being so accommodating and allowing me the preview.\r\n\r\nThis is a very nice looking '02 that appears very straight. The body is free of any major imperfections and the paint pops. I believe that it was re-sprayed about 1.5 years ago. The shock towers are solid without any evidence of significant rust damage or patch repair, the fenders appear solid (no bubbling from the inner weld line to date), and the truck and hood lids are rust-free as well, with crisp folded seam lines on the undersides of both lids. The doors appear ok, but there is loss of the inner seam line on the lower corners (about a 2-3 inch area of bondo) on both driver and passenger sides, so there has been patched rust work in those areas. Time will tell if rust re-appears. The rockers are solid, except one small pin-hole (less than a quarter inch) on the passenger side rear of the door. Of note, the rockers do not look like they have been repaired or replaced and are in solid condition, so I am not sure if there was work done on them at sometime before the recent re-paint. I cannot make head or tails regarding the absence of the jack/lift cups; they aren't there, but it doesn't look like there was any major work done to the underside of the car. Perhaps they were shaved off by a previous owner? The floor pans look good from the underside - I did not pull up mats on the inside to look at the floors.\r\n\r\nI did not drive the car, but it fires up beautifully and purrs at idle. The engine bay is clean. The interior is ok - relatively new leather covers the front and rear seats, as well as wraps the dash. I think the interior concept needs work - not purist and not what most people would choose for a resto-mod. I appreciate @V8S4's comments: price-point and value are hard to call for these because it depends so heavily on the buyer's preferences and plans. Based on 10-year ownership of a '73 tii that needs body work and looking at dozens of these cars over the past several years, I would rate this as a very nice turn-key driver. Detractors are a relatively smaller engine, some weird nuances in the body, and a redone interior that is just not quite right. Probably a steal at 15k or less, and suspect it will go for more. But, it will require some tweaks to make it what you want it if you do end being the lucky new owner.
