The car was imported to Norway about ten years ago, and I bought it from the person who had owned it since. Other than regular maintenance the only thing I've done is adding the Zender front spoiler and the Hella lights. I believe the body work of fender replacement and welding the floor etc was done before the car came to Norway.\r\n\r\nWhen travel restrictions were lifted I decided to bring the car to the US, and do another round of Texas to California for the Monterey Car week 2022 and Legends of the Autobahn, just like I did back in 2019 with the car I previously sold on here. This time a good friend of mine decided to take his own car, a Malaga 02 touring, making it quite a rare sight on the I-40! We did make it to the Monterey, but unfortunately not to the legends event as the Malaga car suffered a cracked oil pan(huge thanks to Jan for getting it fixed). The Orangu made the trip and return without hiccups. I'll share a few photos from the trip.\r\n\r\nThis year the plan was to drive the car to The Vintage event to be able to say the car was driven coast to coast, but after some health issues in the family I settled on a shorter trip to Arkansas for the Mid America 02 fest, where it was one of four tourings! An amazing event bringing together lots of amazing 2002s from all over the US. The car once again made the trip without issues, and has since then received a good bit of maintenance in preparation for the sale as I'm looking to fund other BMW projects back home in Norway.\r\n\r\nThe car is mechanically sound and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere on just gas and regular oil changes. It can be enjoyed as is in terms of looks as well, though there is plenty of room for body work and improving the rust repair work that has been done in the past. Please take a close look at the underside photos and ask if close ups are needed.\r\n\r\nMy friend who made the trip to both California and Arkansas with me is currently taking care of the car in Texas, and will be available to show it to potential buyers as well as providing more photos/videos if necessary.
