It is a top drawer, high quality unit with no issues that I saw.\r\nPlease note the correct retrofit of Euro bumpers and rear valence. That, plus the big bore exhaust, are significant value point to consider when bidding.\r\nThe usual disclaimers: cheap Astons are cheap for a reason. I have no quibble to pick with modern DB7, DB9, V8, vertical/horizontal Gaydon cars. It is worth remembering that Aston churned out more DB7s than the entire production out of Newport Pagnell over the prior 70 years.... plus the apocryphal tale that Aston had never sold a car directly to a female prior to DB7......\r\nHand built Newport Pagnell Astons are complex and require specialist attention. I agree these Aston V8 are built strong and as you can see, when they are set up well, they are more nimble that one would have thought. I love them as well.\r\n\r\n@DB6 Yes they were in standard USA spec. Different exhaust manifolds, four catalysts, the first two are very close to the engine and then five mufflers tot he rear!!! Stifled for sure! Not this example with its V8 Vantage specification exhaust. The European V8 Vantage exhaust has equal length exhaust manifolds \"headers\", into long 4-2-1 collectors which led into the center cruciform which is a \"resonator\", not a fully packed muffler and the remaining intermediate and end mufflers which are also \"resonators\" and not fully packed mufflers. Therefore, the first and main gain back to European spec and horsepower is the opening of the USA restrictive system which is basically \"9\" mufflers on a V8!!! The V8 Vantage exhaust is so much less restrictive and allows the V8 to breath.
