The carfax that is attached to this listing was originally purchased before the car was purchased and brought to Colorado. Im sure a current carfax will show the colorado title and regi.\r\n The car was brought to my shop as soon as I got it here and we immediatly started the work.\r\n All the timing work was preventitive. When I purchased the car it had leaking valve covers and oil filter housing. Besides this the car ran fantastic. It showed no signs of chain slap or failing guides/adjusters. We were planning on doing the service since we knew it had not been done.\r\n As for the failed OR emissions, the only thing I see is that the windshield wiper motor was replaced at a shop in OR. I know that here in Denver a non working wiper would fail a car.\r\n As for the guides, from what I know the first few year 4.2's had a high rate of failing plastic guides. They would crack and collapse after years of getting hot when driven then cold when car was not in use. In the B7 model (2005.5-2008) Audi had become aware of the failing plastic and although they continued to use plastic, it was a bit stronger than first run 4.2's.\r\n We installed all new updated guides along with the 2 rs4 metal guides. These 2 metal guides are the only RS guides the will work on the motor. All the other RS guides are not interchangeable\r\n Last thing, when I bought the car in OR it had MI plates. The seller had moved to Portland for work. He still had MI registration. The main reason why he was selling the car was because he was moving back to Germany.\r\n I am still trying to contact him to get more info for you guys but it seams his phone is not working anymore. Wonder what the owner is looking to get as it never hits the reserve. My guess is he got a decent deal on the car and saw the crazy prices some of these s4 wagons were fetching on here last year and thought he could make a quick buck flipping it. Nothing to knock him over, but it seems like he\u2019s probably belly up on it at this point and can\u2019t get it sold for a price to come out even at the very least.
