That persons info is in the paperwork so they can be asked about the clutch but my nsx mechanic in Laguna niguel California says the clutch is fine and if it goes out he would do the clutch for me for a fraction of the cost around 1600 for labor. Just find a good competent mechanic and your fine. Don't ever go to the dealer for a fix on this car. I'm in socal and there is only one dealer network for service and it's rolls Royce of Newport Beach. West Covina went out of business. So imagine changing out the clutch at a Rolls Royce dealership. Dealers usually will charge $8k to $9K for a clutch, but a good independent will charge closer to $5k. Everytime I see a Evora come up in auction the supposed price of a clutch goes up about $1k. Many of these cars are track cars and are driven very hard, so yes clutches will fail. Early Evoras have a metal clutch slave cylinder and do not fail like the plastic ones in the 2012+ Evoras.\nI have only seen one total engine failure and that was on a car that the owner turbocharged I believe.\nMechanically these cars are extremely solid and would bet they are less prone to failure than the best German car out there. Evoras will have minor problems with mostly fit and finish that should be taken care of under Warranty, so look for a good service records.\nOnce out of warranty do not go back to the dealer. This is probably the cheapest exotic to own and I can enjoy the ride with my kids. My Evora S is as reliable as my other Toyota and Acura. The launch cars have the Evora badge on the dash like this one. The AC issues are fixable, usually holes in the condenser, the clutch has a couple issues: a crappy *master* cylinder (not slave) and some poorly routed lines which boil the fluid. These result in the pedal not returning after the car is warm, since this is an early car it should have the better metal MC and the addition of some quality heat wrap and fluid will resolve most pedal concerns. Swapping in some other trim improvements from the later cars is straightforward and really helps. The owners are active online and many are DIY.\n\nI picked up a MY11 NA earlier this year, it is a lot of fun, sufficient power and very comfortable. I'm 6'4\" and fit comfortably, though vision is still compromised with the short windshield and enormous rear mirror. As a pure sports car it's in 9's and as a GT in the high 8's. I have owned both the Evora and Aston Martin (currently own). There's nothing like the Evora on the market.
