Basically, as dark as the area between the spokes, but an actual glitter with a rough finish. The area between the spokes looks correct on this car. When new, they came with a brushed stainless trim ring. The 1968 wheels had actual chrome spokes and rims instead of trim rings. \r\n\r\n When I was 20, I wanted to buy a car painted like the one in the ad, but with black interior and white Go Pack stripes. It was also an early car with the not so good shifter and the early pleated looking headliner. AMC changed that to a smooth headliner mid-year.
