Luckily, I haven't had any issues with mine and I continue to find things I like about it every time I drive it. Real-world range had been about 20% lower for me. Buckle up.\r\n\r\nThe short answer is that it took too long to get delivered to us, and by the time it did my wife had already purchased another EV that she didn\u2019t want to give up. The longer answer is that she didn\u2019t want to be a beta tester for a new startup car company. \r\n\r\nEverything in the car works as intended. But there are a number of convenience features that are not yet available, and won\u2019t be until the Company rolls out software updates. In particular: automatic door locking/unlocking when approaching/leaving the vehicle; hill hold; user profiles that remember driver settings, such as drive mode, regenerative braking level and seat and mirror positions; and the PowerBank function. Fisker rolled out a major software update this past fall, and just released another one to that is scheduled to be downloaded to all vehicles by the end of January. (This one doesn\u2019t have it yet. Software updates are all downloaded over the air (OTA) at night while the vehicles are parked, and it takes time to push the update out to all vehicles.)\r\n\r\nMy wife wasn\u2019t willing to wait around for those updates, and also didn\u2019t like the Fisker infotainment system as compared with Apple CarPlay. (Like Tesla, Fisker chose to go with its own system instead of embedding their vehicles with Apple CarPlay or Android Autoplay.) But probably the biggest reason she didn\u2019t want to keep it was that Fisker totally screwed the pooch on the delivery, causing enormous frustration and inconvenience to us, which soured her on the Company. It doesn\u2019t do any good to relate the entire experience here. As I said in an earlier post, I think the delivery problems just reflect growing pains, but it was enough, together with the missing convenience features, to convince her that she didn\u2019t want to keep the car.\r\n\r\nI really wanted to keep the vehicle, since it has a much longer range and far better (and roomier) interior than the VW ID.4 she purchased while waiting for the Fisker to be delivered. If I had the room, I would have kept the Ocean. But I don\u2019t, so our loss is going to be someone else\u2019s gain. I've had one of these on order for my wife for a couple of years now, and in the interim, we picked up a Volvo XC90 T8 Recharge that she really likes. Fisker has been trying to deliver the Ocean to me for about 2 months. For better or worse, I've been traveling so much that we haven't been able to schedule a delivery date. Honestly, I'm ok with that as I feel like there are features that were originally promised that are missing from the \"completed\" vehicle (ADAS, etc.) On the fence, as I'm not excited about losing the $5k deposit that we have paid, but also don't want my wife to deal with any possible issues that have been reported. For any of you other Ocean owners, has the latest software gone the distance in \"fixing\" original delivery problems? Watching this with interest to see where it goes. So far, there have been 2 on C&B that have been RNM. Hoping for a better result with this.
