The GSXR conversion is quite common on custom Honda CB builds. You can buy off-the-shelf parts from companies like Cognitomoto.com, or you can make the parts yourself, which is the route I took, as I am a qualified machinist and engineer. The GSXR triple tree has a modified steering stem to suit the CB frame. The GSXR front axle is still used, but the CB front Hub is machined to accommodate larger bearings. Adapter plates were custom machined and are mounted to the CB hub to accommodate the GSXR brake disc. The top plate of the GSXR triple tree has been drilled to accommodate the Cognito Moto handlebar risers. Thanks. It was decided at the start of this build not only to build a custom bike that is pleasing to the eye, but also to have a trouble-free, reliable, and professionally rebuilt engine.\r\n\r\nNo stone was left unturned during this engine rebuild; every assembly was professionally stripped down, cleaned, and all wearable parts were replaced. All bearings, bushes, seals, etc, were sourced from Yamiya and all replaced. The head was professionally skimmed with new valves, etc, at a high-end reputable racing shop in New Zealand. All OEM hardware was replaced with stainless steel 316. \r\n\r\nFor anyone familiar with rebuilding CB750 engines, it is well known that the cost of such a rebuild is substantial; however, it is well worth the result and the peace of mind.
