I live in Virginia,have owned two 57s and examined and evaluated many Virginia 57s. Rust I've typically seen in Virginia 57s included quarter panels where the inner fender meets the quarter panel, body braces and rocker panels. Overall, they were rather well designed and built. On the other hand, I could stand quietly and hear the tin worms eating away at my '57 Fords... While traveling through the Midwest to look at '55-57 Chevrolets, I found floor pan, body brace, quarter panel and the lip beneath the deck lid rot to be major problems. Not sure if it's the amount of trim or the cinema presence, but they catch the eye. \r\n\r\nIn regards to someone asking if this is a 210, that actually cannot be, unless extensively modified. \r\n\r\nTo someone else mentioning potentially rust filled rockers and whatnot, keep in mind that there are many manufactures that build literally every piece of this car. My car was put on the rotisserie and had all the rockers, complete one piece floor and one piece trunk, and supports replaced and professionally welded in place and the under looks better than new. \r\n\r\nAlso note that these cars are never 100% straight, not even from the factory. This one presents really well with a fantastic color, stance wheel/tire hubcap package.\nAn observation, not a criticism: These cars are best lowered w/lowering springs/spindles.
