A '72 350SL went for $28,000 and it was in much worse shape (my critique of that got deleted by BAT for apparently pointing out issues). This car is much nicer. Engine bay is consistent with mileage, which is VERY rare on cars this old. I agree with comment below that hood looks repainted, but it could be lighting. The dash isn't cracked, which is either a miracle or it's got a cover on it. Top looks good, no rust visible in trunk, interior is nice, original radio, etc. Likely repainted, given some of the screws that have paint rubbed off, but looks to be a good job. You could bring this one up to show quality with not too much effort.
