As much as us kids wanted a Country Squire it would be a Country Sedan, and after a lot of back and forth on the color, it was decided that Belmont Blue was the color we would be getting.\nI guess my father figured that with all the miles he would be putting on that car, that it made more sense to go with the 6 cylinder over a V8. Though if he had had a chance to test drive each back to back I think he would have gone with the 8 as that 6 did poorly in hilly/mountainous terrain.\n\nAs we found out after we got the car, the 60 Ford was quite wide. Stance perfect, proportionately right, ran the same chrome reverse wheels, spider caps, & whitewalls on my lowered '59 Impala, in 1963. Good job on the exhaust, I would've preferred a split header but. GLWTA, if I was in the hunt, I'd be on this. Leaf springs with 4\" blocks still flex up & down. I would add 2 modifications to the car. 1) power steering with a quicker ratio for ease of parking lot maneuvering and curvy road steering ease. 2) I would raise the stance or ride height by 2 inches. The reason for that is to give a bit more ground clearance so I could comfortably travel down the more lumpy roads in my area and to allow for more front and rear suspension travel in compression for a better ride and for entry and exit of driveway/parking lot ramps without scrapping bottom.
