The first mod for any track-going 987 with a 6-speed manual should be adding the front center radiator kit. Since the engine oil is cooled from the engine coolant, this is huge for lowering coolant and oil temps. Both Georgia and Tennessee have temps that would concern me without the center radiator aiding cooling. The Pagid RSL29 pads indicate this car was probably a dedicated track vehicle. I use those pads on my R for track duty, but swap back to street pads after every single event (even with years working at a shop, I've yet to see ANY car with an easier pad swap process). Even for my car which is 90% street, 10% track the very first things I did were the center radiator kit and 2qt deep sump oil pan. Those two mods, along with track pads and tires are really all these cars need for hours upon hours on track, even in 100+ temps. This car has a bunch of money thrown at unnecessary extras while negating the two best mods for long-term engine longevity. The RSL29s aren't particularly harsh on rotors, either. \r\n\r\n- 987R graphics could be removed by a skilled detailer although I'm unsure how long they have been on. Would also recommend a paint correction and PPF/ceramic while you're at it. Happy to get an estimate to get this performed before delivery if anybody is interested. \r\n\r\n- Background on this car - Purchased from a private party, and was told he did only 2-4 HPDEs a year while he owned it. He added the aftermarket headunit and the original one is included. Original wing and front bumper are not included. \r\n\r\n- The car had sat for a while before we acquired it. The brake pedal felt very soft, so we did a full flush and also went ahead and did an oil and spark plug service. It should be ready to roll now, but I'd recommend a track inspection and a high temp fluid if you're going to track it immediately. \r\n\r\n- The car drives exactly as an R should. I didn't get it up to track speeds to test out the aero, but on decent highway speeds it didn't feel any different than a stock R. It runs, drives, and sounds exactly as you'd expect from a Cayman R of this mileage.\r\n\r\n- I know that this may not be everybody's cup of tea. The reserve is that of a driver's car, and not the garage queens that we usually get to see on here. If you're looking for a capable track car that is unique and special, then this is it. The 987 chassis is arguably the best balance on power/weight/handling and it really shines on track.
