Yes the twin rear tail lights are both the originals to this car and correct for a \"Deluxe\" spec model. \nRe: the brakes, this subject has been written at great length in the Early Ford V8 club forums as a lot of members have changed their brake systems to the later hydraulic set up, yet many of the older guys have used whats called \"energizer\" actuators on the brakes. In simple terms these kits change the mechanical leverage and function of the brakes in order to pretty dramatically increase the mechanical brakes stopping power. There is a well known fellow in New Zealand named Ted who is famous for his modern interpretation of these energizer kits for the mechanical brakes. We completely rebuilt every aspect of the brakes with all new parts including the energizer kit and so far what I can share is you can lock the wheels with these brakes and once set up they have not required any fiddling. So it's not a simple question of using alloy or steel heads. Offenhauser makes a model #400 and #425 alloy heads, and on this dual carb set up with the Ross Forged pistons along with the .125 block relieving the better option would be the 400 heads for their smaller CC head/valve pocket providing a higher compression ratio. The challenge in building a stronger flathead is getting the block to breath so the use of bigger valves, hardened seats for our current gas, relieving the block to enhance gas flow along with better ignition firing, porting to get the charge out of the somewhat constricted block especially the siamese center exhaust port.
