This is the first Tiger I've owned having bought it last November to help a friend amass cash for Assisted Living expenses. Charlie bought the car in 1987 and did all the work on it himself over the years. He became to ill to operate the car safely about a year or so ago and the car was sitting close to 2 years in his garage. I've enjoyed getting this car running and driving great once again. All repairs and maintenance updates were done by a friend and I over the past month. \r\nI tried several times to have a TAC certification done on the car but with the corona virus am unable to have it physically inspected as required. I also reached out to the Coventry Museum in England for help in researching the car. Their records are located in the Museum which is off limits to to England's lockdown. Charlie said he never worried about TAC because he never intended to sell it and has no idea the values would escalate so quickly over the past few years. \r\nI've done my best to provide pictures of markings, stampings, tags and other Tiger-specific identifiers to reflect it's originality. The Chrome colored decal on the engine looks original to me ....I compared it to one of my cars which is one of the first 50 made. There is not much info on this car in the Book of Norman which does not even have the car color. I did it because my mechanic friend had the flu and I got tired of waiting. NEVER again, lesson learned but it was necessary to get the older gas out and to check for debris before running gunk through the entire system. And I found one of the clamps had been hiding a leak that made the trunk smell of old fuel. I was astounded how cheap parts were for the car, Rick at Sunbeam Specialties was very helpful and kept me from buying what I didn't need. This is a beautiful example of a survivor car. Very original and nearly complete as a compared to my survivor MkI owned since 1979 which is approximately 100 VIN numbers prior to this car. Based on a quick review of the photos the only things I noticed that haven't already been mentioned are the missing windshield washer bottle, jack, toolkit and strap. The washer bottle and jack can often be found on eBay. If the buyer wishes to return the oil filter setup to stock those can often be found on eBay as well. The cigar lighter and ammeter were optional items that you don't see in a lot of cars; and amazingly enough the original yellow stripe vacuum hose on the brake booster is still there although it's routed to the rear the booster rather than to the front. Also the wheel trim rings with the slotted pattern are correct for a later model car. The early cars should have a lattice pattern trim ring.\r\n\r\nOverall, lots of pluses and very few minuses. She's not a movie star. She's the Girl Next Door who looks great without makeup in a T-shirt and jeans.
