I've seen Webers and SU adapted, but not larger strombergs on the 2 liter. If the motor isn't modified for these carbs, I'm pretty sure you'll pick up HP by going back to the 150s. I don't see the original carbs in the extra parts but they aren't too difficult to source. I love the look of DCOEs but they are a little pricey and the bang for the buck isn't there without other modifications. The rust doesn't look too bad and replacement panels are available. The bonnet wart I'm sure can be removed. Overall, it appears as advertised: a project. The 2.5 TR6 engines had a 3-into-2 manifold with dual downpipes. Personally, I prefer the 2-liter motor as it spins up faster with the shorter stroke. With minor modifications the 2-liter motor can produce some serious HP too.
