Not so surprising when you see the enormous binder of receipts. Very sensible and beneficial upgrades in the suspension and ignition systems. I did the same to my \u201878 308 GTS and it makes a world of difference. Adding a high performance aluminum radiator would help, too. \n\nA few details ~ the fact that the rear deck lid prop is still there and operational speaks volumes about the care this car has received. The lid is very heavy and the prop is not very robust. Most older 308s don\u2019t have them because many owners or shop personnel did not understand how to close the lid properly and they broke. Nice Vitaloni (Californian, I believe) mirrors. Period-correct and hard to find. Also, the spare wheel cover and rear trunk covers are both present and in great condition. I would want to inspect the steering column switch cluster as these all fail due to age and plastic deterioration (but can be rebuilt). I personally adore the Carb'd 308's and as far as ownership experience goes, these cars are really easy to keep up with maintenance on. \r\n\r\nThe engine refresh is worth the purchase price of the car alone. The soft valve guides wear out in relatively low mileage and the Nikasil coated cylinder liners did not appreciate in the frequent use Ferraris experience and the cylinder walls lost their hone quickly.
