A completely comfortable, versatile car that can turn it on when need be \u2013 almost like Ferrari's 911S, in many ways. It can do everything well, and comfortably. It's amazing to think what this car would be worth if they'd given it the 275 engine and moniker (it shares the same chassis, etc with the 275GTB already), instead of the 330. I feel the GTC gets dragged down in value and \"sex appeal\" because it shares those first three numbers with the far more tame 2+2 GT. Anyone who has driven them both can tell you they share very little...one is world class, the other is...not.\r\n\r\nAs for this car, what's interesting to note is is that this car is NOT Grigio Fumo, which the majority of grey 330s are, but rather Grigio Mahmoud. I believe only TWO 330 GTCS were ever made in this color. This Mr. R (who is mentioned in the Massini report attached to the auction) was a prolific auto collector and avid driver, who split his time between Phoenix and Kalispell, Montana. The 330 GTC was purchased for Mr. R's wife to drive.\n\nWhen Mr. R bought 11449, the purchase was inspired by another Phoenix-based friend's ownership of a different 330 GTC. This other car was painted Grigio Ferro Metallizzato over a red interior. It also had a red pinstripe and initials of a previous owner on the driver's door (these flourishes were added by a dealer when the car was purchased by a previous owner, not by the factory). \n\nMr. R loved the other 330 GTC's color combination so much that he decided to make 11449 a \"twin\" of that car, and had it repainted in Grigio Ferro Metallizzato (or as similar as possible given the constraints of the time) and the interior changed from the original beige to red. The pinstripe was added at this time and he even added similar initials/flags on both doors (for him and his wife). The paint was done by a shop in Montana that had painted several other collector cars he owned. The quality was good by the standards of the time.\n\nBelow is a link to a photograph of 11449 taken by my father circa 1987, at Flat Head Lake near Kalispell, MT. This is after the repaint and pinstriping, but before adding the initials. Therefore this photograph shows the paint currently worn by the car in fresh condition, a year or so after the repaint. We have several other photographs of the car taken at this time, including a photo of the odometer showing 5275 KM.\n\nhttps://imgur.com/a/tPxGas3\n\nIn summary, here are a couple points to clarify, based on our personal experience with 11449\n\n1.
